compatibility L1/L2 LTO cartridge barcode

Hi
I need bar code for my 3581-L17 LTO drive (L1 Type) but i have some remaining barcode from 3582 (L2 Type) Tape drive.
Can i put them on L1 type cartridge

We could not. Seems that LTO-2 drives do understand L1 labels but LTO-1 drives do not understand L1-barcode labels.
