Is there a quick way to compare a "base" spreadsheet against another that was a copy but may have changes?

Spreadsheet is too large for stare and compare so I am attempting to query / compare for non equal cells. Once a cell is identified I would know the row and column to review for accuracy.

Thank you in advance.

dw27,

One option would be to create a third workbook, where you use the following formula:

=EXACT([Book1]Sheet1!A1,[Book2]Sheet1!A1)

(of course replace Book1 and Book2 with your actual Workbook names)

and copy it to the entire range of the two sheets.

This will produce a "TRUE" or "FALSE" result, but there will be a huge number of formula results to scan. Therefore, I would suggest you also use "Conditional Formatting".

Choose "Format - Conditional Formatting". Then in the Conditional Formatting window, use: Cell Value Is - equal to - FALSE. Then choose "Format" and pick a "highlight" color like bright YELLOW.

I hope you find this to be a reasonable solution to your situation. Please advise as to how you make out.
