Comparing tape data with hard drive data

We have recently had a user who has deleted some folders and files off the hard drive but cannot remember what he deleted. Is there any way veritas can compare what is on the tape to what is on the hard drive and identify what is missing. I really don't want to manually search through the folders and files.

Not unless you had detailed job logging turned on. Event with that you would have to spend the time looking thru the log. What not just restore from a full backup..

cheers, didn't really want to do a full restore but had to bite the bullet in the end. was more interested in where the files had been deleted from and why the users were deleting from where they were.
