I have experience with a number of different programming languages as I have been in the IT field since 1960 when I started with IBM. I have more experience with FoxPro Version 4 then any other language. I do not have any experience with Perl and therein lies my problem

I have been asked to help a friend of mine who hired a young, very inexperienced Perl programmer to write a data base oriented direct mail application that is hosted on a web server. Is it possible to get someone from your group to look at this programmer's code to see if it is adequately written? And, is it feasible for another experienced Perl programmer to maintain this software if my friend goes ahead and uses it?

Thank you,

Mel Schell

Hello Mel,

I'd be willing to look at the application and give an opinion. I'm off work at the moment (broke my collarbone....) so I'd be grateful for something to do to be honest.

Future maintenance of the program -- no reason why, given that the app is written reasonably well, another Perl programmer couldn't maintain it in the future.

Feel free, if you wish, to contact me on michael.j.lacey@ntlworld.com
