Comparing excel data and replacing fields in newer records

I have a cunundrum, that i know is possible using excel and vba, but am not sure exactly how to execute.

I have two stock lists, one in Access, one in excel. If I want to merge the two together and have the excel records to replace the records in access where the stockID is the same.

Has anyone created anything similar which will do the trick or at least point me in the right direction???
