Comparing Detail Data with Group Averages

The Data I'm using has 3 temperatures per day. Date/Time and a temperature.

I need to graph the data over a selected time period (usually a month) and on the graph, I need to have the average accross the month and a +3Standard Deviations and -3Standard Deviations.

For each detailed record, I also need to calcuate the difference between the detailed record temperature and the average temperature over the month.

I'm fairly experienced with Crystal, but I can't figure this out. When I try to put a group calculated average next to a detailed record, it won't let me.

I think these are all the same questions, but here are my problems:
- I can't figure out how to add an average of a group of data as a line on a graph of the detailed data.
- How do I calculate a "variation from the mean" - where I subtract a detail data record from a group average.

Not sure if you can chart avaerage on detail chart. Could possibly overlay one chart on another.

To calculate variation from mean
