Hi
I have to look at a data set and measure change on a daily basis.
Each day I will be pasting data into sheet 1 to compare with yesterday’s data.
I’m guessing I may
Copy sheet 1 to sheet 2
Overwrite sheet 1 with new data
Compare results in sheet 3.
I want to show in sheet 3
Current list
New records (Coloured)
Removed records (Coloured)
I also want to add notes in Sheet 3 at the next available column – say column 11 and I don’t want to lose those notes every time I do a compare.

If this makes sense Id appreciate some help, I can record macros and do a little editing but I am no guru.
Some pointers would be appreciated.

Hi,

what code do you have so far?

Where are you stuck?

Can you also post some sample representative data?

Please address each of these questions.

Hi,

what code do you have so far?
After I paste data to sheet1 I then use code to copy sheet2 to sheet3 and sheet 1 to sheet 2
I then added a flag to the rows on sheet 2 and coppied them to sheet 3
I then removed duplicates leaving a full list of ins and outs.

Where are you stuck?
Once I get to sheet 3 I cant retain additional comments I have added in

Can you also post some sample representative data?
I have posted a file with just the data and the outcome I want in sheet 3

So what i am trying to do.
Post data to sheet 1
Compare sheet1 with sheet2 and capture all data in sheet 3 which will show current data, and data that has been removed from the new list in sheet1, plus add any comments.

Hope that makes sense

PLEASE POST YOUR CODE. Please provide a copy of your code here or in an attached spreadsheet. The spreadsheet you provided only has data and no macro.
