Compare Previous Records - 2 or more records

i have trouble when i tried to compare current field value with previous field value. I used previous() to compare the previous field value, no problem, but for previous two or more records, i cant't get it....
Anyone can help me???? (send me the codes as well)

Please provide more information like sample data, whether your report is grouped, what you are trying to accomplish, etc. There are different methods that might work depending upon the report design.

In the detail section put a formula with 2 global variables and assign the field itself to the first variable and the previous(field) to the second one. Now, in any other formula that you place above the first one, the first global variable will keep the previous value, while the second global one -- previous to that.

WHy not state what you need to do, rather than asking for seemingly pointless funcitonality.

State:

Crystal version
Database and connectivity used
example data from the database
expected output

Ther are lots of people here very capable of supplying architecture and demonstrating it in code.
