I'm using the "Compare Document" (side by side comparison) feature and in the older document when it finds a text difference with the newer document then it crosses the text out with a red line. The person that has to review the compared document is having a hard time reading the text underneath the red line. Is there a way to change the line width or change the red line so that it isn't so bold?

Help is appreciated.

Thanks

If nobody answers this then I will have one for you tomorrow, I'm in Ireland and I have comparison files in work. I think there is a way, but I won't know until I get there tomorrow. So don't panic, there is somebody on it and I'll post my findings tomorrow.

thanks eugenetyson. I don't need to send this report to the person that has to review it until Friday so tomorrow is great.

I couldn't find an answer that would suffice. But you can click on the crossed out text with the comment tool and it will show you what text it is. It's weird that you can't ( or at least I can't) find a way to change the colour or weight of the stroke. I thought it may be a spot colour, but it's not. I'll keep looking for an answer though.

thanks eugenetyson. I'll keep looking for an answer too. I wish they would have had the text underlined with the red in the older document like it does with the new document (underlining it with blue when it finds a difference).

You could always choose the report type. The default is shown showing the pages side by side. A consolidated report, on the other hand, shows the comparison information on one copy in a note.

I showed the person reviewing the report the side by side and consolidated and they want to use the side by side. They could always just view the report larger than 100%.

that's a good idea. thanks again eugenetyson
