In the first moment i though it will be easy but after few days i realise that installing NT 4.0 on the Compaq SFF is real hell. This is the problem:
After Ms-Dos portion of setup everithing is O.K. but in GUI portion is real hell.It just crash in one moment with blue screen and lot's of dump information on it.I succeed to realise problem with VGA driver so I replace it with vga driver in ms-dos setup folder(the one that was created on C:\ allways). When i succeed i was "crying" but soon i was realy CRYING cause it was crashed again after few successfull logons( when i installed 3com 3c905c-tx-m NIC).
If you have any ideas how to solve the problem...... please.
p.s. Sorry for bad english

Hey
I work daily with Compaq SFF PC and I have installed many with NT no problems. Here is what I do.
Fdisk hardisk and make bios set to boot up on CD drive.
Then insert CD with NT 4.0 and reboot now it will install.
It will com to a place where it will format your drive. Then it will make all the rest. When it is finnish i convert c drive to ntfs (make dos prompt convert/?) and no problemo.

have nice day

If you want the real "layman" option just get the Restore CD for NT4 with the NT4 OS...insert restore cd..turn pc on...follow prompts...job done.
