This will depend on if you have the system utility partition on the first hard drive or not.
It is usually F9, or F10 during/just after the proliant splash screen.
Alternatively use the bootable Smartstart CD and install the system utilities. (note: it will not do it if there are any other partitions on the drive. you will have to use the system erase utility first).

You can also create the System Configuration Utility diskettes from the SmartStart CD or download them:
This creates a set of 4 floppies. Boot from the 1st one, and you can run SCU. If you didn't have the system utility partition installed, this way can avoid erasing your hard drive.
