Compaq ProLiant ML530 - Tape Drive Requires Clean All The Time

Hi all,

I have a tape drive in a Compaq ProLiant ML530 which the cleaning light came on for.

I have used the cleaning tape but as soon as I load a proper tape back in the cleaning light instantly comes on again.

I have tried various tapes and this always happens.

Sorry I didn't make a note of the model of the tape driver (the server is at another site).

Any ideas what is wrong?
