running xp home. at bootup it would go thru bios then the windows xp loading window opened then it rebooted and kept rebooting. i ran a hard drive test in the phoenix bios and the test status said "#2-07 FAIL". also at bootup a BSOD would flash by and all i could read was unmountable_boot_volume. i put in the restore cd then tried the FIXMBR program and the results were "this computer appears to have a non-standard or invalid master boot record". i then ran C: chkdsk /r and it fixed one or more errors on the volume.
I rebooted and it loaded fine. so, i have it all up and running except the wireless network. it was fine on it b4 all this happened. i've tried everything i know of to get it back on the network and also online, but it won't. i'm all out of options that i know of. any help will be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks, Jim
