Compaq Power Supply

Hello all...

I have a computer with a bad power supply...

The power supply model is 263919-001 with a replacement model of 271398-001. The prices for replacements are outragous 135.00 ea and up.

The wattage is 200 watts. Does anyone know where I can find a less expensive replacement?

What brand and model number is your computer? I have purchased many 200 watt poweer supplies for Compaq & others for $35.

Hmmm looks like a cut down sized supply? not full sized ATX formfactor?

I think the actual wiring is the same so you might consider a new case and just transfer all your parts over?
Something like this Antec which comes with a quality 350watt PSU included.

Ok...

Still haven't been able to find a suitable power supply...

Can I just use a regular supply as long as the unit fits the case?

Is there a chance I can blow out the MoBo if i use too much wattage on the PS?

No you won't blow the motherboard as long as it is wired the same.
Just check the clours in the main plug match.
The trouble is if the unit is as pictured;

A standard ATX unit won't fit, thats why I recommended a case swap.
