Compaq Nic Team Restrictions

Hi,
I have set up several Compaq servers to use Nic teaming in ALB mode. Presently all nics are connected to a Cisco catalyst 3548XL switch. Is it possible to split nics in the same team across multiple switches if the switches are either connected via gigabit uplink or are connect directly to the same core switch.

This would actually be the recommended way to connect, as it provides fault tolerance in the event of a switch failure.
