I recently reinstalled Windows 2000 (SP2 as my SP3 Technet CD is broken) and now I am finding that 50 % of CDROM's cannot be accessed by my N110 's internal DVD/CD ROM Drive? It will read Microsoft CDROMs and some Audio CDROMs but not for instance a CDROM with the Finepix viewer for my Digi Camera?!! Very Strange.

It worked fine b4 the reinstall and could read all CDROMS. I think it must be a software issue. Does anybody know what I need to install to sort this out? I have trawled the HP/Compaq web site but there are no specific drivers for the DVD/CDROM. Is it Winaspi I should be looking for?

I am a bit lost!

Many thanks

I'll guess you no longer can read UDF formatted disks. W2K does not need an adaptec UDF driver, and if you install one, to trashes the built in MS UDF driver. Look in the control panel and remove any UDF drivers under install/remove software.
