Hi,

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how I can determine a failed disk attached to my HSG80 Raid Controller.

Any other useful information regarding the controller would also be appreciated.

Graham.

use insight manager
it will show up on what ever server is attached to it
you can alos enable the http on the hsg and this will show you

or you can use the cli window - graphical one tells you as well

insight is easiest

Graham,

At the controller level, you can connect a terminal to your HSG80 if you have not already and run these commands;

hsg80> show fail (will display failed disk)

hsg80> locate disk000 (where disk000 is your failed disk. this command will identify the disk, watch for the blinking amber light on the disk and mark it)

hsg80> locate cancel (turns off the identify LED)
