Does anybody know who manufactures the 64-bit/66MHz Fibre Channel HBA, P/N 120186-B21 ? I've heard QLogic but also some suggestions that Compaq developed this card themselves.

The reason I'm interested is that a customer of mine is intending to use this card to attach to NT servers to a StorageTek L180 and, what do you know, it's not on STK's validated list of HBAs.

If I am not mistaken this HBA was manufactured by Emulex and OEM'd by Compaq. Also, beware if this board has removable GBIC it will not work with W2K correctly.

Although most Compaq labeled HBAs are indeed OEM'd from Emulex, that particular model is made in-house by Compaq. It's used to connect to the Compaq classic (ie not inhereted from Digital) RA4000/RA4100.
It is also supported connecting to HSG80-based arrays if you're running Netware.
I think it's unlikely it will be supported by StorageTek.
