Compaq EXm P733 shutdown

I recently purchased a Compaq EXM P733 -Minitower with Win98 OS.I reformatted the hard drive and installed winnt 4.0 workstation.When I do a shutdown it goes into a low power shutdown.The screen goes blank and the hard drive hibernates.How do I fix this so it does a full shutdown.I called Compaq and they told me to change a switch on the motherboard.They said look on the white sticker inside the computer for the switch settings but unfortunately there is no white sticker!!!!!!!!!
They sent me a schematic of the motherbd,but the wrong motherbd.!!If you can help me I would appreciate it.
