Compaq Armada Keyboard Problem

When using the keyboard we get symbols instead of letters when using for example letter "p". However if we hold the "fn" key we actually get the letter P any ideas?

sounds like the keyboard settings have been changed in the control panel. Go there and make the language is set correctly along with the type layout. Also make sure the correct keyboard key-layout is selected. Let me know. Jay [atom]

Is the function lock on? You can enable this button so that you can use the numberic keypad instead of letters.
