Compaq 6400R 'System Fans Not Redundant' Error

Hi! I'm new to the forum and was wondering if anyone could help on this problem.

I have a few 6400r dual 550 processors, one of which has system fan redundancy. If I try to transfer this redundant fan to another of the 6400r servers, it doesn't get picked up by the server (it displays the error in the subject).

However, if i put a 'normal' fan on the server which did have system fan redundancy, it doesn't register this i.e. it doesn't display the error.

I can find no reference to this error on the Compaq website or anywhere else for that matter! There is nothing configurable in the start up either.

What am i missing??

I am having the same problem. Does anyone know of a fix for this issue?

This will either be a board firmware issue or you will need to run the System Config from the utility partition.
