Compaq 5150 BIOS Problem

I have Compaq Presario 5150 with Win Xp running on it. My windows got curropt so I thought to re install XP again, now I have to go to BIOS to change the booting process so that I can boot the computer from CD and do a fresh installation, but when I press F10 to enter the BIOS setup i get a screen with a menu Language and it tell me to select a language and press enter, but when i press enter nothing happens , It just hangs there..what should I do?? I dont have the recovery disk?? If I just let the computer to boot then I get a message that some file is curropt under system32/config/ and it starts the physical dump and then it just freezes there??

Go to the COMPAQ site. I believe they have a diskette based image you can download to accomplish BIOS setup and configuration chores.

There is nothing on compaq site..
