we have had 2003SBS installed at our office and doesn't work. We get 403 Forbidden no matter who is logged on or which machine it is tried on!!

Sharepoint admin works ok and the default web page works fine.

I am not a Server expert but would like to use the Help Desk feature on the companyweb.

If I change the TCP port for companyweb to 8085 and then back to 80, the deafult web page comes up instead of companyweb for a little while after and then reverts back to 403:Forbidden.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you get properties on the website in IIS that handles CompanyWeb, there is a security tab. Within the settings there you can configure which IP subnets are allowed to access the website. Make sure that your local IP subnet range is listed there. I can imagine a situation in which you re-ip'd the server after setting it up, or have a server with two network adapters, and you may be restricted from accessing the website. That may help.

Thanks for replying.

I have tried setting this already and it has no effect. If I put in my IP adresses or our internal range I still cannot access. It is set to "by default all computers will be granted access" and there are no IP Addresses in the list. Therefore all IP addresses should be able to access.

We only have 1 network adaptor on thei server. The IP address has changed from when it was set up.

If I ping companyweb from the network it replies with the correct IP address.

This may be redundant, but have you re-run the CEICW and triple-checked all the companyweb options?

Our IT Support guy reran the CEICW a few times and we have gone through the companyweb settings a million times.

I believe he reinstalled sharepoint and maybe the IIS also!!
