Is there a way to set up a set of standard rules for Outlook 98 clients on Exchange 5.5?

Is there a way to set up these rules without visiting each user?

Can we apply rules and apply them to members based on Distribution Lists?

Thank you

Kevin

Yes. It depends on what kind of rule you want. This what you might try. Run Regedit
navigate oultlook settings this should be something like hkey local machine >software>microsoft outlook the rules should be in there. select the branch and export it to a filename of your choice. Then from here you can push it out users by using login script and start.exe outlook rules.reg. Or option 2 create one outlook app using centralized approach. 1. install the software to server drive from a client create rules and capture w/sysdiff and ect.. option 3. You can save the rules by copying them to a folder on a local .PST Select a folder where you want to copy the Inbox Assistant rules. Click Application Design on the Tools menu. Then select Copy Folder Design. Select the Inbox from your Microsoft Exchange Server mailbox. You can reverse these steps to copy the rules back to the Inbox on the new mailbox. 1.Select Inbox (the location where you want to copy TO). 2.Click Application Design on the Tools menu. Then select Copy Folder Design. 3.Select the new folder from your local .PST.
