Company list lockdown

Hello all,

I have a major concern in our growing ACT database. We need to find a way to lock down the companies list so that users don't accidentially move a company to another company or division... etc. Is there any addon or any private company out there that has a solution to this or would be willing to program a solution or addon to solve this problem? Thanks.

Probably the only way would be to prevent users from editing the Company records

ACT won't allow you to change the security settings on the company field. Is there another way around this?

I can't think of an easy way... are you using Standard or Premium?

If you make the users "Restricted", they can't edit companies -
