I'm looking to getting some used or new Companions off of ebay to help our old system limp along. On ebay, i've been noticing some people describing their products as working in the US only.

Is it true that there's a difference between radio frequencies for companions between the US and canada? Isn't 900mhz 900mhz?

Any help would be appreciated.

you need key codes and they are based on US zip codes to activate the companion sets and base stations

so, if I get a new companion from the states and try to use it in canada, i'm out of luck?

do you already have a companion system if yes there should not be an issue if no i would look at a different wireless solution

Yes, we already have a system, it's old but still works. I guess I should have been clear. I'm talking about aquiring c3050 handsets from the states, and am wondering if they will work with our existing Companion system here in Canada.

Thanks

Jordon
