I've just relocated a Companion system. 1 RPI unit and 2 antennae.
It is on a MICS XC 6.1

The system was without power for over 24 hours. Now I cannot get the cordless phones to register.

I can see in programming, the ports attached to the companion RPI are 1301-1304. Under Maintenance it shows BIS for those ports.

I can also see in programming under Companion 000 credits, but I have 8+ DNs registered. I cannot do a Re-evaluation. I believe it says 'disabled'

One antenna shows Green, the other Green and Red.

I've read other threads where I would need UTAM codes once the system relocated and I understand that is no longer available.

Inside the RPI unit was a sheet of Companion keycodes in case the system looses power. Do I need to re-enter these keycodes and are they UTAM codes?

I'm hoping entering these will restore the companion system. I have two keycodes each 24 digits.

Please help, if you can!

i've re-entered the codes. re-evaluation does not come up.

cordless units say "no connection" when you try to register.

yes, I did not get Invalid Password.

yes, did backups just in case. system is close to 10yrs old.

Since the system is not recognizing any credits, you might want to try this.
Regression Key (U.S. only):
Restores the previous system
security number so that previously
applied UTAM Activation Keys
and Portable Credit Keys can be
reentered to restore full system
operation. Also required in cases of
system recovery. This key cannot be
reused

Voice Connect Plus, Inc.

also found this post that might work for you or maybe not.

this is from RK Davis:

I have used North Star Remote Utilities, Voice Mail manager to trick the companion. You will need the last Utam codes that were entered into the system. So far this has worked for me on an Mics and an opt81c. And yes no more Utam codes from Nortel. The product is end of life.if this does not work the customer will need another solution. I use the install procedure becuse the re-eval is greyed out in programming. I just enter the last utam codes.

Thanks. I saw that already, don't really understand it.

RIP companion.

i de-registered 2 DNs, I went from 000 credits to 002 credits but phone still does not register.

I don't know what the 'install procedure' is from NRU. I usually only use NRU for backups and remote macs.

i tried re-entering the key code using the NRU browser. the response was "this keycode has already been entered"

on my alarm set I see: "UTAM test failed" (with time and date).

many thanks!

i should say that I only re-connect 2 antennae, out of a total of 8 previously installed. is that a problem?
