Yes that is what it is but what is it used for and with what system?
I wonder if it's a stand alone one line set?

 
It is a prototype companion from Kenwood (C3030).
A very nice phone but did not make the cut with Nortel and I bet was due to it being too delicate. The C3030 would have been perfect for the executive though due to it's wieght and feel along with the look (cross between 3020 and 3050).
