Companion 3060 Portable Phone

Hi, I am having a problem with one of my Companion 3060 Portable phones. There is no display on the phone when I use a charged battery. I hear a beap when you replace the battery and thats it.. no dial tone. Any ideas? This phone hasnt been dropped in the toilet either

I would say it's broken. What happens if you don't use a charged battery? Same thing?

if that battery isnt charged, nothing happens..
