Hi,

I have read conflicting articles about PST file sizes. Some articles state that the only way to reduce the size is to clean up unwanted emails and then manually run COMPACT NOW. I have also read that Outlook will automatically compact the PST files when you PC is at idle.

We are running Outlook 98 and Outlook 2000 contecting to back-end Exchange 5.5 servers.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Compacting is a manual process. You have to start the process from TOOS - SERVICES and then select personal folder. Click Properties and then click on "Comapct Now". joegz
