Compact and Repair Causes Problem

Hi.

I have a 3 machine windows network connected by hub. Two machines run Xp and one is 2000 professional.

I run access 2000 on all machines and the mdb resides on a shared folder on one xp machine.

All is fine until I run compact and repair. After I run this, the 2 machines on the network cant find the mdb. If I move the mdb out of it's folder and then copy it right back, all is fixed.

All open access in shared mode, and when I run compact and repair all other users are logged off before I start. All is fine on the machine on which the mdb lies.

Any Ideas?
