Compact and disapear?

One of my customers attempted to compact and repair a corrupted Access 2000 Db. After doing that all user tables were marked as hidden and system tables. The bad thing is that trying to open a table a msgbox displayed that I "need reade authorization" to open the table.
I tried a Office Recovery software that works good,in some way, but i lost at least some table structure and more tha 40,000 records.

Any idea how to retrieve the data from the "hidden" databse.
