Compact a MDB

Hi all,

I used a tool - database utility - database compact always
gave me an error message :

'''Invalid Argument '''

and then kick off

Please assist to explain WHY this happened ?

You provided the error but not the tool you used!

Guessing needs a crystal ball and we are still been jammed by SN2006aj supernova![wink]

Compacting an mdb has been covered many times in Tek-Tips

I had to assume you used Tools->Database Utilities->Compact & Repair Database, seings as this is the MS Access forum, if not, why not?
