I am trying to use command line VSS to create a simple batch program that will let me do all my gets in the morning. The problem is that when I do the ss <command> I always get a User <myusername> not found. Even though I have done a set ssuser and also I can bring up the gui and see my user there. Has anyone else seen this problem and if so how have they fixed it.

Ken,

You might want to check that you don't accedently have multiple VSS databases. Some people have been known to accendentlly install a DB with the client applications when they just want to connect to a server.

If you do have multiple databases you should make sure you are communicating through the command line to the correct one.

Thanks. Thats exactly what happened. All I had to do was set a property to say which database to use and I was fine.
