Is there any way within Commvault to pull a log on a backups down to the file level on what was sucessfully backed up. I know you can do content and filter for unsucessful items but I need what was successful and I had looked at the Client log for the particular server and it doesn't go into that much detail.

you can run the Job summary report and select "Protected objects" and "Associated events"
This will give you the files that were backed up and a reason for the ones that failed.

Ok. Now I need to get a report that is not in my local index cache and prompting for a tape that is offsite. Instead of me calling a tape back is there any way to change where it gets this report from? I was wondering if I could restore this index cache from an onsite tape copy but don't see anywhere in the reports feilds to set a copy precedence. Commvault doesn't see it on copy precedence 1(disk) goes to copy precedence 2 (tape-offsite) and I want to get the index cache from copy precedence 3 (tape-onsite). No big deal if I can't do it. I'll just call back the tape.

I always just call back the tape
But I also right click on the client and do a "view->Job History" then find the date you are looking for and right click it to "View media"... recall those also
or they might be the same..

What you dont want is for it to restore the index and then tell you it needs another tape from offsite
