Shoretel has Call Manager (now Shoretel Communicator), Cisco SBCS has Call Manager Express and CallConnector, but Avaya has a browser-based "portal"? I really like what I'm seeing about Avaya IP Office, but browser-based call handling would not fit our workflow. I need an app that can be deployed easily without requiring a lot of user setup and inconvenience. Are there any other options?

PhoneManager Lite is a unlicensed Windows application but it is no longer supported from Version 8.1.
There are good replacements like Mondago's UC+.

if you need something like that for the reception then there is softconsole which is a powerful application and is a great aid for the job of a receptionist.
If you need that for every user then intrigrant's suggestion is the more feasible one.

Interrupt the silence only if you improve it by saying something, otherwise be quiet and everybody will be grateful.

The Softconsole looks like what we're needing, but you can only have 4 on the system. The One-X Communicator would be ideal, but it looks like its not available for IP Office. UC+ looks great. Has anyone seen it implemented, and how expensive is it?

UC+ easy to install and maintain and it works well, we have a lot of customers using it and we hardly get any problem reported ( mostly after a M$ Windows upograde :( )

4 soft consoles is just marketing.
We have several customers with 8 or even 12 on one system.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
