I need to pick your brain on a CM question. I've got a group that I will soon be moving from the CS1000E to CM and they have a situation I need help figuring out. In Call Pilot we have a menu and when the caller hits one of the options Call Pilot dumps that call to a certain number. That number appears as an MCR appearance on 4 different phones in the CS1000E on a button that is NOT their respective main number. Each phone has it's own main number. This is simply another button on each phone that rings simultaneously on all 4 phones when it receives a call. Can you think of a way to somehow duplicate or program something similar in CM?

Do you have AAM 6.3 or higher? This can be done via a mailbox directory via speech recognition or if you don't have AMM you can create Vector with cover answer group 1 and cover path 1 in CM. Very basic programming so you should be able to get this done in a few minutes.

I'm fairly green with CM programming so let me think this through.
First I create coverage answer group C2 (I've already got C1 programmed)
Next I create VDN 49959 with vector 26
Next within vector 26 I do the following:
1) wait-time 2 - seconds hearing ringback
2) route-to C2
3)????

If the call is not answered by one of the phones that is part of the cov ans group 2, I want the call to forward to Call Pilot so the caller can leave a message in the Call Pilot mailbox. I already have a coverage path 1 programmed that forwards callers to Call Pilot that all phones use for unanswered calls. Will step 3 be "route-to coverage path 1"? If so, what would the definition be?

an xported station bridged onto the 4 sets would do this as well, when called would ring all 4 phones and if voicemail coverage is needed it could alert all 4 phones as well wil an aut-msg-wt xxxx button

What is an xported station? I'm fairly new to CM programming. I need this number to appear on 4 different phones and need the ability for all 4 phones to be able to answer a call to the same number at the same time. I'm assuming I'll have to have as least 4 call appearances that can receive calls. I don't want to have to use up a license for the main number if possible.

add station next, on the port you can put an x there for port type then hit enter, now you can bridge that extension onto the users that need the coverage.

What do I use for the "type" where I normally put 9611 when programming a new phone?

make it a 6408 or any digital set type
