Hello, my problem is quiet interesting and very strange. I have two computers one located in the city I live in and the other in a different location. Both systems are connected to a network. The first system connects to the network via a modem and polls the second system for data. The second system is on a network via an ethernet card. The second system also has a modem to connect out to sites and poll them for data (environmental stuff). The first system can no longer ping the second system and neither can I from my machine (same subnet). The second system is working fine and the activity lights on the nic are flashing normal. It is hooked to the same hub as other users and they are working fine too. The modem on this second system is also working fine. I have checked ip settings, cables, nic etc. Any ideas??

The first system can you ping your own ip? Have you replaced any cards, ie NIC and or modem ? Jeter@LasVegas.com
