communicating between SWFs

i'd like comminucate between two completely seperate SWF objects in my HMTL.

i'd like to set it up so i can click on a button in SWF object #1, and it will tell the SWF object #2 to load a movie inside itself....

so to be clear: one SWF object can control a another SWF object.
