communicating between PB app and web app

funuctionality that used to be part of a PB app is being carved off and being re-written as a web app. The PB app now has to have 2-way communication with a web app. We were thinking of passing data to the web app via arguments in the URL and using a database based communication mechanism to get data back to the PB app. The PB app needs to be modal and wait for the response back from the web app. Any ideas on how best to do this? thanks!

I'd set up the process to pass whatever info you need as a web service. This way you can wait for a reply and then move forward.
