Hi,
I have a laptop running with 2 Virtual PC environments. When I'm connected to my Wireless LAN all works well - the Virtual PC environments can communicate with each other and with the host and the host can communicate with the virtual PCs. The virtual PCs have been configured to use the wireless card of the host as their network adapter.
The problem I am having is when I am away from the wireless network. I can't find a way to allow the host to communicate with the Virtual PCs or visa versa if the host is not connected to a network. Even if I set the IP address manually on the host it just won't communicate. I *think* that it's because Windows says the wireless card is not connected so therefore NO communication can take place. The virtual PCs can still communicate with each other.
Has anyone else come across this? Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can use this system without an external network connection?
Thanks for any suggestions anyone can give,
Andy
