Common # busy now?

We got a number that all of the sudden gives us a busy signal when dialed. Doing it across all phones digital and analog. Its a regular number our maintenance department uses so its always worked in the past. Using our cellphones, we do get through.

The area code 201 is local. And I've even made successful calls to other phone numbers with it.

Put a call into our provider to see if its anything on their end. But if its something to check here, I might as well learn something while I wait for them to call me back.

So this is a DID number off your PBX? Or a number you call from your site? Post info either way, NPA, NXX, RLI, or TNB. Will either turn on MSGI or TRAC in 80 to begin with. Pending further details.

Alright, say no more.

Looks like its the voice provider. Apparantly this number belongs to one of their former customers and then something got messed up when they ported to another provider.
