We are currently using Powerbuilder 10.5 but will soon be upgrading to version 11.0.

One of our upcoming projects will require modifying our application to use a Common Access Card (CAC Card). We will be using a card reader which will then prompt the user for a Pin #. Upon entering a valid Pin # the application will then run.

Sounds okay so far.

Evidently I forgot to include the rest of the information. I am looking for some assistance, i.e. sample code for api calls or a place to look for help in coding our application to use a smart card.

Keep in mind, I've never been assigned a project using a cardreader, but from what I've seen, many cardreaders simple post the ID# (card data) to the clipboard. Which you should be able to simply grab and paste wherever needed.

i inserted my cac card into the reader and then tried to paste something from the clipboard. there was nothing to paste.
