LONG before I walked through the door this place (with the help of a highly priced partner) set up "commissions" for the SOP module.

now maybe it is just a 'feature' of Dynamics, but since we have not used the 'commission' part since we bought GP and it just keeps getting in accounting's way --- (our sales folks are not paid a commission)

any way to globally turn that 'feature' off???

You can remove the Salesperson ID from all the customers or change the commission percent to be zero for all the salespeople. If you change it to zero, it will still create a zero dollar commission amount, but will not post anything to the GL.

hmmm - need to know which sales person has which Customer --- commissioned sales (for the salesperson) is already set to 0%, but guess what - Great Pains STILL tries to generate the commisioned sales and still tracks the commissioned sales for the sales person (totals on the sales person screen and on the edit lists)

The real problem comes into play when something changes after the order is placed. Often times the Sales Edit list will come out with '0% Commission' and '100% for the percent of sale'... and whatever changed before they genereated the invoice put something in there to think we wanted a commissioned sale... for just that one. And removing that is a real P.I.T.A. unless you write a script after the 11th time that month...

so - we track sales by sales person, but do not want any of the crud about commissions in the SOP side --- GL gets the info about the recievable & the sale just fine...

any other ideas?
