Some problems i have found that you want to know about, both have been escalated............
1. Q'ing in Vm Pro is broken. If you use either still queued and repeat the second announcement or just use the 1st announcement and repeat that, it plays the announcement twice and then silence, no hold music or any further announcements. The call is still there but the caller gets silence until the call in answered. No amount of turning second announcmenets on or off or synch annoucements ets makes it work. Its broken!
2. Embedded - If you put a hunt group into OOS mode and in the OOS group you have a v user forwarding to a short code that forces it into the OOS mailbox, it does not play the custom greeting recorded, it only ever plays the mailbox name.
I want to make an amendment to my above statemt regarding the queued thing in VM Pro. I was turning the synch calls off on the wrong group like a complete tool. ddddduuuurrrrrrggghhhhhhhhh
It is synchronise that breaks it. I am not using any customised call flows in q'ing at all, i am just using the default start points. If i turn sync calls on you get three q messages (if you use q and still q or just q repeated) and then you get nothing at all.
We hyave it in house and it works fine however I have not implemented any new features like the date and time routing. I am using Fifo/lifo, its great and about friggin time!
I like the conference BLF and the speakerphone monitor feature works, but you have to get the key sequence right. I use an IP phone so its not supported on my phone.
Telecommuter mode is very cool in the fact that I had it working to my cell phone at dunkin donuts.
The manager startup banner is basically useless, good if you need a disclaimer or something, but they misspelled "continue" on the button so if you use it it looks foolish.
The big thing for me is not being able to use softphone on Vista. I do have it woking but the audio is choppy. Don't know where to start on that one.
Other than this stuff 4.1 is not very exciting. I like it that way.
Yes that is what we use here. I did notice that it would only work for me in continuous mode. When I set it the other way, status would show it trying to connect, but the call would not go through.
Works nice though! I thinks we will sell alot of that.
Telecommuter works for us on POTS lines but there is a lot of echo and sometimes the other party can not hear you well. Just like a trunk to trunk transfer / conference
I like some of the GUI enhancements - correct me if I just didn't notice this in 4.0:
1) In manager, you do not need to click "OK" for each change you make to a line/user/group/etc. in order to move on to another programming screen. Overall feel of moving around manager is much more efficient.
2) In VM Pro, is it just me, or is the "connection" line always selected by default? I was building call flows yesterday, and did NOT have to go back to the "connection" line each time I needed to connect actions together; this was a huge improvement in programming efficiency. Maybe I spilt coffee on my "Ctrl" key or something.
3) It's spelled "Continue" !!!
2) Yes, once you select the VMPro client connection button it now stays selected until you chose to select something else - only took 3 years to get that one past the marketing people.
3) Yes and no. It's not misspelt (note the spelling there, proper English) but when running on a US OS the button is too small so it gets cropped so the same effect. Similar problem in other non-UK English locales. Still if that was the worst problem then we should be very happy.
