Green text on a green background. NOOOOOOO!
otherwise if OK

I'm running IE 6.0 2800.1106 (or something like that) and the page keeps shutting IE down. Not sure why. If I open another instance of IE, and just surf around I don't have any problems and I'm not seeing any problems with my original window to TT's but when I go to the site and click on any of the links (at least all the ones I clicked on) IE shuts down.

Strange, because there's no javascript except a redirect for NS browsers and a spider blocker for the email addresses. There's no VBS coding either. It's just regular html/css coding. The only links I have anything to do with are Thanks, Board of directors, Presidents Message and two .pdf document links. The others are external.

Random thoughts...

Green and blue are rather cold colour choices for a nursery, it needs to look warm and inviting.

It's called "Circle of Care", but I see lots of hard square edges and very few circles. It'd look better, for example, if that nice swirly circular quartered image in the middle wasn't cropped inside a square.

Who is the site for? It doesn't tell prospective parents very much. What information there is is locked up in PDF documents (that I'm having trouble displaying). Will your visitors know where "North Island College Campus" or "Carihi Secondary School campus" are? Giving some mention to the town they're in will help your search engine traffic.

The "Links" box on the left - some of them are links, to off-site pages, some of them are navigation. Some open in a new window, some don't, some are PDFs - it's a mess.

I find that script font a little difficult to read. Fortunately, not everyone will have it.

The home page doesn't quite validate, I didn't try the others.

Not sure myself, but I rebooted my machine and tried again, and the same thing happens. I've opened the site 6 times and 6 times I got shut down. Sorry I can't be more help. Maybe someone else with Win98 and IE 6 can try it and see if there are problems.

Paul.

I am running the same version of IE. I have experience No problems? Mabey just a funny bug.

Glen. another couple of points.
I don't like website changing the colour of my scroll bar. I'm used to grey, and I prefer when it stands away fron the page. You green bar kinda just blends in, and I didn;t really notice that the site continued off the bottom of the page.
The title "A circle of Caring". I would like it better it it was centered above the main image, not centeren on the page.
The main image. This might look better if blended more into the background. Prehapse the white area at the corners could be transparent, or the samd olour of the background. an you could do away with the shadow effect arounf the image. This would give it a more circular feel.
The border around the edge of the page is kinda neet. I don't recall seening it anywhere before.

Hope this is helpful.

You might try and put a bit more polish into the links on the left too, say font colour etc. Looks fairly flat.

Cheers Stephen

I should write something here.

If I repeat something someone else said, I apologize...

1) The color schema does NOT match. The green-on-green is just wrong.

2) The collage of the kids just doesn't "fit" the way it's currently used. Instead of plastering the pics in the center (and having them take up so much space), why not super-impose them onto the background image? Or place them within the logo?

3) Why would place "your friends links" above your own? Do you want your visitors to go out of your site?

4) There is no 'Contact Us' page. Or, where your located, or what services you provide. Unless this site is intended ONLY for employees and/or current clients then they site tells the average users nothing.

With Firefox your links extend past your box. At least they do for me.

The page didn't load; I tried to copy/paste, nothing worked.

Now I tried again and it worked.
1. Opening page. Kid at the upper left corner looks ... deformed. The other kid has a blemish on his/her cheek which you could easily fix in Photoshop.
Pictures are too big.
2. Presidents message page. I cannot help but stare at his overwight tummy... not a pretty sight. Crop the picture! Choose only his face, sharpen the image. It will look much better.
3.Board of directors page - pictures did not load.

While editing the Presidents Message page you seem to have inadvertently removed an opening < in front of your /br>. Source reads:
<a href="YPP.htm" target="_blank">Young Parents&#39; Program </a>/br>

It's also a bit disconcerting the way that the top image jumps around between the different pages.

I would join in the comments above on the cold colour scheme

Thanks for the comments Johnwm. I think you caught me editing the site as I was playing with positioning of the top image. I don't think it will "jump around" now. Color scheme is the clients choice.
