Comment Field

In Mas90, there are 2 comment fields, on on the manual check entry screen and one on the AP invoice Data Entry screen.

Does anyone know what table(s) these comments reside in, and how I might link that table to the GL5-DetailPosting table?

Do you have access to the TRSG cd for your version?

If you do, you can look up file names, record layouts, etc for each application.
for example-quickly-I came up with APL manual check entry detail comment file. I'd guess that's one of the ones you're looking for.

I'm not a programmer so I can't answer the linking question-idea sounds helpful though.

Ok, I have located the comment in question, it is in the AP12-InvHistoryHeader table. However, now I cannot figure out how to link them. Any ideas.

I would gladly use a subreport to do this as well, but I cannot figure out how to link these 2 tables.

Out of curiosity, I tried to look at the two files in excel. I got the following error message:

Query wizard cannot continue because it can not join the tables in your query. You must join the tables manually in Microsoft Query by dragging the fields to join between the tables.

I don't know what it means-offer it up in case the suggested solution for excel would give you an idea for the tools you're using.

Hopefully someone else will have a better answer for you.
