i am planning to take BSCI exam on Monday my first time. i am wondering if ? at the end of a command is ok to use. and any advice on taking this exam. thanks

IT15,

Using the "?" will not matter or hurt you on the sims but I doubt it will help much - I tried it on a CCNA exam and limited info came up.

As for the test - it is the hardest Cisco exam I took..... and passed!!

Know routing, routing and more routing - RIP, RIP2, EIGRP, IS-IS, OSPF and BGP!!

Good luck!

I don't remember much of the BSCI froma year ago, but I sat the BCRAN 2 weeks ago and the ? worked. As CiscoGuy33 said, only a limited number of commands were returned, but they were the ones I needed so if anything it made it easier!

Make sure you know redistribution and summarization, EIGRP (you do understand about feasible successors don't you?), OSPF, policy-based routing.

Don't forget ISIS and BGP

Let us know how you go

Hi IT15,

I did my BSCI about a month ago. I had a couple of Sims on OSPF / EIGRP and also know your redistribution commands well. Ensure you understand the mechanics of the protocols ( IIS, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP ) and you should be ok.

Took my BCRAN yesterday ( that was the toughest exam out of the all )and was using ? quite alot, but as the other guys mentioned not much is returned back.

Good luck,

lee
