Hi All,

Info: Networker 6.2
OS: Solaris 8
hardware: Sun Storedge L3500 jukebox

I was wondering if anyone has come across a Networker single-command or switch(s) option to unload a tape from the drive and place it directly on the loadport in one sngle process without first going to the slot.

Example:
1) nsrjb -u -f /dev/rmt/1ubn ---- eject tape from drive 1 and move it to the slot.
2) nsrjb -w vol-label ---- withdraws tape from slot to loadport.

** Now, I will like a command/option to eject from drive and moved straight to the Loadport without touching the slot.

Any info or link to such info will be appreciated.

Hi,

you can use the command sjimm to tell the robotic arm to move from one location to another.

sjirdtag may also be helpful to show which location contains the media.

The commands are in /etc/LGTOuscsi. You may or may not have the man pages.....

sjirdtag requires the SCSI devicename of the robotics (which can be seen in the GUI - Media/Jukeboxes).

sjimm parameters are devicename (s above) the from and to locations.
