Does anyone know of a command in AutoCad that will some how display all the open lines..or non-connecting lines?

like if I have a sink cut out formed with hundreds of arcs and lines, I would want to know where there are any lines or arcs that are not connecting!@! please help

Thank you

hoja,

There is no built in command I'm aware of, but you might try the bonus tools overkill command. It will join and delete overlapping polylines and connect lines/polylines with a gap size you specify. It doesn't show what was open or overlapping, but I'm assuming you want to correct the problem and this will do it for you.

If you don't have the bonus tools, select any suspect line and convert to a polyline, and then join the surrounding lines. If the lines shared a common endpoint, the lines will be joined, if not, you have the tedious task of joining the endpoints manually (strectching moving etc.) once in a while you get lucky and only have a couple of stragglers.

Sounds like you want to grab a bunch of entities and check if there is some matching vertex elsewhere within the bunch of entities. Not a true test but you could program it.
